RN – Med Surg | Des Moines, Iowa
Shift: Nights, 4x12s, 48 hrs/week (36 hrs available)
Weekend: Every other or every 3rd weekend
Call: None | EHR: Epic
Facility: Iowa Methodist / Iowa Lutheran; floating across all campuses required.
Requirements: 2 years current Med Surg experience, pulmonary patient care experience, active Iowa or compact RN license, BLS (AHA/ARC), driver’s license, Med Surg skills checklist, and Nursys verification. First-time travelers accepted.
Preferred: BiPAP, ventilator, trach care, Level I trauma experience; Level II trauma preferred.
Other Details: Holiday rotation (1–2 winter holidays), local candidates within 50 miles not accepted, NBO 16 hrs, OT 1.15x, callback 1.5x (2-hour minimum), on-call $9/hr, charge/preceptor $6/hr. Orientation: 10/26, 11/9, 11/23, 12/7. Former UPH FTE/PRN employees within 12 months are ineligible.
