Job Summary (List Format):
- Demonstrate an outward mindset by working collaboratively to help achieve personal and team objectives.
- Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments; develop and update individualized care plans in collaboration with patients.
- Provide and direct nursing care; evaluate patient outcomes.
- Utilize technology safely and appropriately; adhere to infection prevention standards.
- Apply evidence-based practices, policies, procedures, and standards of care.
- Educate and document teaching with patients and families.
- Report actual or potential incidents per Oaklawn Hospital procedures.
- Engage in self-assessment, peer review, complete mandatory education, competency assessments, and pursue ongoing professional development.
- Participate in unit-based performance improvement activities, staff meetings, and support organizational change.
- Adhere to Oaklawn Hospital’s mission, vision, values, Nursing philosophy, ANA Code of Ethics, and Relationship Based Care principles.
- Practice within the legal scope of nursing for Michigan, including appropriate delegation and supervision.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years current Medical-Surgical nursing experience.
- Active Michigan RN license.
- Active American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications (must be submitted with profile).
- Must provide own transportation.
