Job Summary
Medical Surgical Floor Nurse Location: Iowa. This position involves providing comprehensive care to patients on a 30-bed medical-surgical unit, with a focus on post-operative and spine care. The role requires working night shifts and floating across multiple campuses within the healthcare organization.
Job Details
- Position Description: Responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population in a hospital or medical center setting, with a specific focus on surgical and post-op patients. Must be proficient in EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system and have experience with heparin management and spine care.
- Required Qualifications: 24 months of current operating room experience in a hospital or medical center setting; strong heparin experience; active Iowa or multistate nursing license; BLS certification through AHA or ARC; 24 months of med surg experience; EPIC EMR experience; minimum of 3 months recent travel experience within the last 12 months; post-op/operation surgical experience; spine care experience; ability to work night shifts; schedule includes 12-hour shifts with a minimum of 36 hours per week.

- Additional Information: Candidate must be available to work 1-2 of the upcoming Winter holidays. Orientation sessions available on 10/26, 11/9, 11/23, and 12/7. Float rotation may be required across all campuses, including Iowa Methodist MC and Iowa Lutheran. Submission requires a professional reference within the past 24 months and a drivers license.
