Registered Nurse (RN)
Position Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in a Medical Surgical unit, focusing on adult to geriatric patient populations. This role involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver effective nursing care to a diverse patient population including adults and geriatrics.
- Maintain a patient-nurse ratio of 1:5-6.
- Utilize electronic health record systems, specifically Epic, for documentation and patient management.
- Assist in medication administration and utilize Pyxis for medication distribution.
- Communicate effectively with team members and patients using the SBAR method.
- Provide support for patients undergoing renal treatments in a Med Surg environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience; first-time travelers are welcome to apply.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Experience in a Renal Medical Surgical unit is preferred.
Work Schedule
This position offers a night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00. The role requires working every other weekend as part of the standard rotation.
Additional Information
- Maximum Requested Time Off (RTO) is 7 days.
- Floating to other departments within the facility may be required as necessary.
- No call requirements are associated with this position.
- Should the assignment period encompass any major holiday, the traveler will be expected to adhere to the holiday work schedule.
Compliance Requirements
Full compliance with onboarding and documentation requirements is necessary to ensure timely start. Non-compliance may lead to a delay in the start date due to orientation scheduling.
