Location: Brockton, MA
Contract Duration: Approximately 13 Weeks
Shift: 4 shifts per week, 12 hours per shift
Hours: 48 hours per week
Job Description
Seeking experienced Labor & Delivery / LDRP Registered Nurses (RNs) to provide comprehensive maternal and newborn care. Nurses will care for patients throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum, including immediate newborn assessments and assisting with cesarean deliveries.
Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor mothers throughout labor, delivery, and recovery.
- Provide postpartum and mother-baby nursing care.
- Perform immediate newborn care, including medications, measurements, and physical assessments.
- Circulate during cesarean-section procedures.
- Administer medications and IV therapies and monitor patient conditions.
- Educate and support patients and families throughout the childbirth process.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team.
- Take charge or preceptor responsibilities when needed.
- Float within the maternity service; nurses assist with cesarean deliveries in the facility’s OR rather than floating to the main OR.
Requirements
- Active Massachusetts RN license.
- Minimum 2 years of Labor, Delivery, and Recovery experience.
- Mother-Baby experience, either through floating or an LDRP setting.
- Immediate newborn care experience.
- Cesarean-section circulating experience required.
- Current AHA BLS certification.
- ACLS and NRP required.
- Must be willing to take charge or preceptor assignments and float as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Meditech experience.
- Experience scrubbing cesarean sections.
- Spanish, Haitian Creole, or Cape Verdean Creole language skills.
Important: Candidates must have the required L&D, Mother-Baby, immediate newborn care, and C-section circulating experience. Confirm the current start date and exact shift times before submission.
