RN – Obstetrics / Med-Surg | Steele Memorial Medical Center

Location: Idaho

Schedule: Shift rotations, weekends, and holidays as needed

Contract: 13 weeks

Call-Offs: Up to 36 hours per 13-week assignment

Local Candidates: Not accepted within 120 miles of the facility

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced RN to provide compassionate, skilled care to laboring mothers, postpartum patients, and newborns. The RN will monitor maternal and fetal well-being, assist with labor and delivery, provide postpartum education, and support safe, patient-centered care.

When the Obstetrics unit has no active patients, the RN will float to the Med-Surg unit to provide adult medical and surgical nursing care. Candidates must be adaptable, clinically competent, and comfortable working across both specialties.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of obstetric nursing experience
• Maternal and fetal assessment experience
• Newborn assessment and postpartum care experience
• Current Idaho or approved compact RN license
• BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring required upon hire
• PALS required upon hire or within one year of employment

Additional Information

• BSN preferred
• Must be comfortable floating to Med-Surg when needed
• Up to 36 hours of call-off per 13-week assignment
