Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN)
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Assess and monitor maternal vital signs, overall health, and fetal heart rate throughout labor and delivery.
- Provide labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum nursing care to mothers and newborns.
- Monitor uterine contractions, labor progression, and cervical dilation, reporting complications promptly.
- Administer prescribed medications, IV fluids, and treatments while monitoring maternal and fetal responses.
- Assist physicians and midwives during vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and emergency obstetric procedures.
- Provide emotional support, educate mothers about labor and delivery, maintain patient safety, and document nursing care and clinical observations.
Facility Highlights / Requirements:
- 2–3 years of L&D RN experience
- Updated resume
- BLS (AHA)
- Active Rhode Island (RI) RN license or Multistate/Compact RN license
- Copy of COVID-19 vaccination card
