Contract RN – Labor & Delivery

Location: Austin, TX
Facility: SAMC – 2 North
Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
Schedule: 12-hour shifts
Call: None
Weekends: 4 weekend shifts per scheduling period
EMR: CPN & Meditech

Unit Overview

  • LDR: 12 beds
  • Antepartum: 5 beds
  • OBED: 4 beds
  • OR: 3 rooms
  • Patient Ratio: 1:2, with 1:1 based on transition and acuity
  • Equipment: Alaris pumps, CADD epidural pumps
  • Staffing: Highly engaged, team-oriented staff with a strong mix of experienced and newer nurses
  • Scheduling: Self-scheduling in collaboration with the team
