Location: Austin, TX
Facility: SAMC – 2 North
Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
Schedule: 12-hour shifts
Call: None
Weekends: 4 weekend shifts per scheduling period
EMR: CPN & Meditech
Unit Overview
- LDR: 12 beds
- Antepartum: 5 beds
- OBED: 4 beds
- OR: 3 rooms
- Patient Ratio: 1:2, with 1:1 based on transition and acuity
- Equipment: Alaris pumps, CADD epidural pumps
- Staffing: Highly engaged, team-oriented staff with a strong mix of experienced and newer nurses
- Scheduling: Self-scheduling in collaboration with the team
