Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Department nurse for a Level IV womens and infants healthcare setting. The position supports labor and delivery, high-risk obstetric care, triage, and delivery support while providing care consistent with Association of Womens Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) guidelines.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: At least 1 year of experience; Level IV labor and delivery training; familiarity with magnesium and insulin infusions; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification; advanced external fetal monitoring competency; valid professional license.
- Schedule: Night shifts with 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, every third weekend, and holiday rotation.
- Additional Information: The position supports a 15-bed labor and delivery unit, a 20-bed high-risk unit, and an 8-bed obstetric triage unit. Responsibilities may include charge nurse coverage, newborn nurse support during deliveries, and care for patients in active, early, and latent labor. Two orientation shifts are provided. Float rotation may be required.
