Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Nurse, Night Shift The healthcare provider is seeking a dedicated Nurse with specialty in Labor and Delivery. This position involves providing routine and complex care in a perinatal setting, practicing independently while managing clinical contingencies and supporting patient and family needs.
Job Details
- Position Description: The position involves practicing in a perinatal clinical setting, providing comprehensive nursing care, assessing patient needs, administering medications and treatments, and documenting clinical information. The Nurse will also deliver patient education and collaborate with care teams to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, current certification from one of the following: AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM), or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM); current BLS certification (AHA only); current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification; current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (AHA only); RN License in the state of Texas or a compact licensing state; 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty.
- Schedule: Nights, 7:00 PM 7:00 AM, Minimum 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: All newly hired experienced Registered Nurses must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire. Precepting will be provided by trained staff, and initial onboarding requirements are validated through successful completion of designated competency validations. Experience in a perinatal setting is preferred.
