- Schedule Highlights: Every other weekend and every other holiday
- Floating/Cross-Training: Mother/Baby and NICU feeder/grower support
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
- Active RN license; pending license accepted with license in hand by the Wednesday before the start date
- Current BLS, NRP, Fetal Monitoring, and AWHONN Intermediate certifications
- Epic experience required
- Ability to work confidently in a high-acuity maternity and women’s health setting
- Comfortable floating within scope of practice
- BSN preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate care for antepartum, labor, delivery, and postpartum patients
- Circulate C-sections and support OB procedures as needed
- Monitor fetal heart patterns and respond appropriately to changes in maternal or fetal status
- Assist with triage, OB PACU, high-risk labor management, and newborn assessments
- Support patients with complex conditions such as preeclampsia, diabetes, preterm labor, and maternal-fetal complications
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver excellent patient outcomes
- Cross-train and float to Mother/Baby and NICU feeder/grower assignments when needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold best practices in a dynamic acute care environment
