Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse in Richmond, VA This position involves providing high-quality care in a small, close-knit unit focused on obstetric and neonatal services. The role requires overseeing laboring patients, conducting postpartum care, and collaborating with team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details
- Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: RN license; Bachelor of Science in Nursing or higher preferred; Certifications in Fetal Monitor Certification, BLS, and NRP; Experience in high risk antepartum care, active labor management, C-section circulation, postpartum care, circumcision assist procedures, bili light care, lab draw from mother and baby, magnesium administration for pre-eclamptic patients; Active license in Virginia; 0 years minimum experience requirement
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience interpreting fetal monitors and performing antepartum testing and ultrasounds
- Responsibilities include fetal monitor interpretation, management of high-risk antepartum patients, assisting with deliveries, and providing postpartum recovery care
- Additional Information: The unit is equipped with wireless fetal monitoring and features a team-oriented environment with self-scheduling options. Candidates should demonstrate excellent teamwork and clinical skills, with the ability to handle obstetric emergencies.
