RN - Interventional Radiology (IR) Job Summary
- Provide direct patient care before, during, and after interventional radiology procedures.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients undergoing IR procedures.
- Prepare patients for procedures, including education, consent verification, and IV insertion.
- Monitor patient’s vital signs and condition during procedures to ensure safety and comfort.
- Administer moderate sedation and medications as directed by the physician.
- Assist interventional radiologists and technologists during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided and patient responses.
- Respond to emergencies and provide advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) as needed.
- Ensure proper infection control and sterile technique throughout procedures.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and optimize outcomes.
- Provide post-procedure care, including monitoring for complications and patient/family education.
- Maintain and check equipment and supplies necessary for IR procedures.
- Adhere to hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.
Med Ninjas Job ID #19824. Pay package is based on 10 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
