TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Intermediate Care for a travel nursing job in Wausau, Wisconsin.

Short Stay PCU RN — Assignment Details
Unit: 8-bed observation unit
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience and 1 completed travel assignment
- Background in observation or MedSurg/Telemetry
- Wisconsin RN license, BLS and ACLS; AHA or ARC accepted
- NIHSS highly preferred
- Epic experience required
- Ability to interpret cardiac strips; EKG exam required during compliance
- Strong independent practice, time management, teamwork and adaptability
Schedule and patient care
- Ratio: 1:4
- Patients: Anemia, cellulitis, COPD, dehydration and pre/post-op urology and GI patients
- Drips: Cardizem, nitroglycerin, insulin and heparin
- Patient flow: Stays typically up to 48 hours, with frequent admissions and discharges
- Floating: All inpatient units as needed, including IMC and CTU
- Weekends/Holidays: Every other weekend and every other holiday
- Scrubs: Any color
