Job Summary
Yale New Haven Health is seeking an experienced SICU Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment at a short-term acute care hospital and Level II Trauma Center. The RN will provide critical care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, and care for critically ill surgical patients.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and manage dysrhythmias.
- Administer IV medications and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips.
- Manage arterial lines and provide central line care.
- Care for ventilated patients and manage BiPAP/CPAP support.
- Perform ETT and nasotracheal suctioning as needed.
- Follow infection control and isolation precautions.
- Float within the ICU cluster based on unit needs.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of ICU nursing experience.
- ACLS and BLS certifications required.
- Active Connecticut RN license required.
- Epic charting experience required.
- Patient ratio experience of approximately 1:2.
- Teaching hospital experience and Level I or Level II trauma experience preferred.
- Travel experience is not required.
