Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse in Akron This role involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients within the ICU setting. The position requires supervising and collaborating with healthcare team members to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes throughout each shift.
Job Details
- Position Description: Embraces the organizations values by delivering superior care, prioritizing safety, and fostering teamwork. Responsible for performing patient assessments within 8 hours of admission, developing individualized care plans, and participating actively in patient rehabilitation programs.
- Required Qualifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Certification, at least 2 years of bedside clinical experience, ICU experience, and prior work in a similar setting.
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Performs nursing assessments, documents patient responses accurately, initiates discharge planning, and provides patient and family education for ongoing care needs. Demonstrates professional growth through continuing education and takes charge responsibilities as needed.
