Job Summary
The ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Registered Nurse (RN) is based in The Villages and is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a critical care environment. This role involves assessing patients, developing individualized care plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to promote patient safety and recovery.
Job Details
- Position Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by ensuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees.
- Qualifications: Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification are required prior to the first shift. A minimum of two years bedside clinical experience is highly desired.
- Shift Details: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Responsibilities: Performs nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission, develops and updates care plans, actively participates in patient rehabilitation, ensures accurate documentation, and initiates discharge planning and patient teaching. Provides supervision to ancillary staff, maintains communication with management, and assumes charge responsibilities after orientation.
- Additional Information: The RN must possess skills and competencies necessary to perform job functions according to population served criteria and demonstrate commitment to patient and employee safety.
