Job Summary

Piedmont Healthcare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a PCU Float Pool assignment. The RN will provide care to adult and geriatric patients and float among Medical-Surgical, Medical-Surgical Telemetry, and Progressive Care units based on facility needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients across MS, MS/Telemetry, and PCU units.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and blood products.
• Manage peripheral IVs and, as needed, central lines and PICC lines.
• Care for patients requiring oxygen therapy, BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, or tracheostomy management.
• Manage cardiac and vasoactive drips, including titration when required.
• Provide wound care, feeding tube care, and other unit-specific nursing interventions.
• Respond to emergencies and activate rapid response or code teams when needed.
• Float between units as assigned, within scope of practice.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Epic experience required.
• Experience in MS, MS/Telemetry, and PCU settings.
• Comfortable floating between multiple units and adapting to varying patient ratios.
• Previous charge experience preferred.
• Teaching or community hospital experience preferred.
• First-time travelers are accepted.
