Endoscopy RN – Travel
📍 Facility: Mission Hospital, Asheville, NC
🕐 Shift: Days, 4×9-hour shifts Mon–Fri
📅 Contract: 13 weeks
📞 Call: 1 overnight call shift/week + weekend call
🔄 Floating: None unless traveler volunteers
💻 EMR: Cerner
👕 Scrubs: Green surgical scrubs provided; Navy Blue also acceptable
🚫 Block Scheduling: Not accommodated
Call Details
- Weeknight call: 1 shift/week, from end of scheduled shift until 7 AM
- If not working that day, call begins at 5 PM
- Weekend call: 2 × 24-hour shifts during a 6-week period
- Weekend call may be Saturday, Sunday, or one of each
- Maximum expected: 6 weeknight + 2 weekend call shifts per 6-week period
Job Details
- Pre-Op: 6:30 AM–4:00 PM or 7:00 AM–4:30 PM
- PACU: 8:00 AM–5:30 PM or 8:30 AM–6:00 PM
- Procedure RN: 7:30 AM–5:00 PM
- Adult and pediatric endoscopy
- Procedures include EGD, colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, EUS, ERCP, EBUS, bronchoscopy, PEG placement, stents, capsule endoscopy, and foreign body removal
- Pediatric procedures include EGD, sigmoidoscopy, and colonoscopy
- Equipment: Olympus scopes, ERBE, Medivator, ION, Boston Scientific, Cook
Requirements
- Prior Endoscopy RN experience required
- BLS, ACLS, PALS
- Active NC or Compact RN license
