Job Summary
Electro Physiology Laboratory (EP LAB) Technician position available in an outpatient setting. This role involves supporting cardiac and transplant patients by sedating and monitoring cases in a high-acuity environment. The position requires at least two years of experience in electrophysiology procedures and certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). The schedule is Dayshift from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) 2 years of electrophysiology experience, with a minimum of 0 years of experience in the specialty.
- Specialty: Electro Physiology Lab
- Schedule: Days, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, 36 hours per week
- Support within the Department: Nurse manager, charge nurse, Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) preferred but not required, RT (radiologic technologist) staff available 24/7, hospitalists available 24/7, intensivists 24/7, nurse practitioners, cardiologists
- Additional Information:
- Support staff includes RTs, hospitalists, intensivists, NPs, and cardiologists available around the clock.
- Unit-specific equipment includes Phillips, Siemens, and St. Jude monitors, as well as EMR, IV pumps, alarms, and medication dispensing systems.
- Must have skills to sedate and monitor cases, scrub clinically.
- Orientation period of 4-5 days, with no weekend shifts or on-call requirements, but will stay late on various days.
- No holiday or RTO restrictions specified.
- Scrub color: Provided, with free badge access parking garage.
