Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse working in a high-volume trauma center location. This position involves providing acute emergency care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with shifts scheduled primarily during nights. The role requires a highly skilled registered nurse to manage patient care efficiently and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams within a Level II trauma facility.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 3x12-hour or 4x12-hour shifts (1900-0730), minimum 48 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid California nursing license; BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC certifications; at least 2 years of experience in a large Level II trauma center; minimum of 2.5 years of trauma center experience necessary for first-time travelers; experience with arterial line management, Blood Product Administration, Ventilated Patient care, central line care, procedural sedation monitoring, stroke and neuro-trauma, pediatric emergency care, and related skills; previous experience in a multi-diagnosis ER setting; proficiency in Epic charting system; valid CA license in hand; must attach Nursys report pulled within the last 2 weeks.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing pediatric and adult trauma, neuro-trauma, ortho trauma, stroke, and airway management.
  • Additional Information: Candidate must have at least 2 years in a large Level II trauma center. Travel within hospital based on census. Must submit RTO at time of application; holiday RTO cannot be guaranteed. Orientation includes approximately 8 hours of Epic training and 4 hours of modules, completed during orientation with hours varying by specialty.
  • Travel Experience: Not required. Previous permanent staff are not eligible.
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC.
