Registered Nurse (RN)
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department team. This role requires a minimum of 2 years of experience, including one previous travel assignment. The RN will work in a fast-paced environment and be responsible for providing high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Deliver care to patients in the Emergency Department, handling an average of 150 visits per day.
- Perform IV starts and phlebotomy procedures as needed.
- Participate in rotation for weekend and holiday call, as necessary.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Provide mentorship and support to junior staff and trainees.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
- Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment.
- Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIH, and PALS.
- Preferred certifications: CPI, MAB, TNCC.
- Experience with Cerner, charge nursing, triage, and precepting is preferred.
Working Conditions
This position requires the ability to work night shifts, specifically 4x12-hour schedules. Clinicians will receive training on the unit before taking on charge responsibilities. Scrubs are not provided; you must wear navy blue scrubs. Additionally, staff may come into contact with COVID-19 patients.
