TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Concord, North Carolina.

Unit Overview
Emergency Department (Resource Team)
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required.
- First-time travelers are not preferred but may be considered.
- Clinical interview required.
Patient Population
This Emergency Department cares for a wide variety of adult and pediatric emergency patients, including:
- Trauma (Level III)
- Gunshot wounds (GSW)
- Stabbings
- Motor vehicle accidents (MVA)
- Falls
- Stroke patients
- Heart failure
- Chest pain
- Blood product and fluid resuscitation patients
- COPD exacerbations
- Cardiac Cath pre/post patients
- ETOH/CIWA patients
- IV drug abuse (IVDA)
- Behavioral health patients
- Respiratory illnesses
- GI disorders and infections
- Liver failure
- AKI/CKD
Required Experience & Skills
Required Certifications
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
- NIHSS
- CPI
Preferred Certification
- TNCC
Submission Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience required.
- Recent EPIC experience within the last 6 months must be included with submission.
- Two professional references required:
- Must be obtained within the last year.
- References must be from employment within the last year.
- Level I references required.
- Permanent address must be included in submission notes.
- RN license must have at least 60 days remaining before expiration.
- Certifications must have at least 90 days remaining before expiration.
- Government-issued ID and Nursys profile must match exactly.
- No Labor Day RTO requests.
- No blocked scheduling requests.
- No holiday RTO requests.
Call Requirement
- No call for travelers
Holiday Requirement
- Travelers should expect to work approximately 75% of holidays.
Time-Off Policy
- Up to 6 days of RTO may be approved.
- Holiday RTO is not permitted.
- Time off may require extension of the contract to meet contracted hours.
COVID-19 Requirements
- COVID-19 vaccination required.
- Medical and religious exemptions may be considered.
- Approved exemptions require masking and compliance with facility infection-prevention policies.
