Job Overview
We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This opportunity involves delivering comprehensive care to a diverse patient population within a regional referral and tertiary care center.
Job Details
- Ratios: 1:3-5
- Daily Visits: 250
- Bed Capacity: 101
- Contract Length: Minimum of 13 weeks
- Hours per Week: 36-48 hours available
- Shift: 12-hour evening shifts (15:00 - 03:00)
- Float Requirement: Floating between Emergency Observation Unit and Emergency Behavioral Health, based on needs
- Weekend Requirement: Minimum of 4 weekend days every 6 weeks, potentially every other weekend
- Unit Orientation: 24 hours
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
- Experience with IV start, triage, and telemetry
- First-time travelers are welcomed
- Local nurses are accepted
Certifications
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BCLS (Basic Life Support)
- NIH Stroke Scale
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- MOAB (Management of Aggressive Behavior)
Unit Systems
- Pyxis
- EPIC
- SBAR
- Daily shift huddles
Additional Information
All candidates must successfully pass EKG testing before starting in this specialty. Please note that block scheduling is not available for this position.
Scrubs
Navy and white scrubs are required for this role.
