Emergency Room RN Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license in Illinois, held at the time of submission
• At least 1 year of recent Emergency Room or Emergency Department RN experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications
• Ability to work three 12-hour night shifts per week and every other weekend
• Strong patient assessment, prioritization, communication, and emergency response skills
• Ability to provide safe, compassionate nursing care in a high-acuity emergency setting

Emergency Department RN Responsibilities

• Assess, triage, and prioritize patients presenting with urgent and emergent conditions
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies in accordance with established protocols
• Monitor patient status and promptly identify changes requiring escalation
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, responses to treatment, and care transitions
• Support a safe, efficient, and patient-centered Emergency Room environment
