Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
Required Certifications: RN License, BLS
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced CVOR Registered Nurse (RN) to join a nationally recognized, high-acuity Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery program. The ideal candidate must have at least 3 years of CVOR circulating experience and the ability to work confidently in a fast-paced, complex surgical environment.
Required Experience & Skills:
- Minimum 3 years of CVOR circulating experience.
- Experience with CABG, MVR, AVR, kidney transplants, thoracic and cardiac robotic procedures, peripheral vascular surgery, thoracic procedures, and aortic repairs.
- Knowledge of vascular access, hybrid procedures (TEVAR/EVAR, TAVR), Impella, IABP, and ECMO.
- Scrubbing experience is preferred but not required for RNs.
- Ability to work with multiple surgeons and adapt to different surgical preferences.
- Epic EMR experience preferred.
Schedule & Call Requirements:
- All shifts available based on departmental needs, with 24/7 in-house coverage.
- Weeknight, weekend, and holiday call required.
- Mandatory call/standby requirement with a 30-minute response time.
- No floating required.
- Hospital-provided scrubs.
- Unit-specific orientation provided.
Additional Information:
This is a high-acuity CVOR environment with approximately 25 regularly practicing surgeons. Candidates must demonstrate strong clinical judgment, versatility, and the ability to apply broad cardiovascular operating room knowledge across a variety of complex surgical cases.
