Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Operating Room Open Heart, Indianapolis, IN: The position supports adult cardiac, vascular, and thoracic procedures in a high-volume Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) environment with complex open-heart cases. Responsibilities include assisting with advanced cardiac procedures and participating in required on-call coverage for nights, weekends, and holidays.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Current nursing license with license and certificate verification; 23 years of experience in a high-volume Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) setting with complex open-heart cases; completion of required skills checklist and submission of a professional resume and two professional references.
- Schedule: Day shifts of 10 hours, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Supports adult cardiac, vascular, and thoracic procedures, including heart transplantation, HeartMate III, Impella, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), and robotic thoracic surgeries. On-call coverage is required for nights, weekends, and holidays, with a 30-minute response time. The role supports a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) with nine operating rooms, including two hybrid rooms, and provides services within a Level 1 trauma, burn, and ventricular assist device (VAD)/transplant setting.
