Operating Room (Open Heart) Nurse Houston, TX. This opportunity involves providing specialized perioperative care within a fast-paced cardiac and vascular surgery unit. The role requires expertise in managing complex cardiac procedures, including CABG, valve replacements, and ECMO management, with a focus on delivering exceptional patient outcomes.
Job Details
- Position Description: Data collection and perioperative care for cardiac and vascular surgical patients, including procedures such as CABG, Valve Replacement, Carotid Endarterectomy, ECMO, Angiogram, Fistulagram, Fistula Creation, and Lower extremity Bypass.
- Unit Information: Cardiac and vascular surgery operating room with 3 beds, staffed by a team of 26, including registered nurses and surgical technologists.
- Schedule: Day shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN), Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), 1-year relevant experience in operating room or equivalent clinical setting.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with open heart surgeries, vascular procedures, and experience in a high-acuity surgical environment.
- Additional Information: On-call responsibilities average 4-5 days per month, including one weekend per month. Candidates should have open heart and/or vascular surgery experience and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
