Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit Float Nights. This Registered Nurse position provides care for critically ill adult patients in a 20-bed Medical/Surgical Intensive Care Unit and may require floating to Medical/Surgical units. The role requires strong telemetry competency, high-acuity patient care experience, and participation in every-other-weekend scheduling.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shifts consisting of 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Every-other-weekend rotation is required.
- Required Qualifications: Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse license; conditional Massachusetts Registered Nurse licenses expiring on or after 12/01/2026 may be accepted; American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications; at least 2 years of adult Intensive Care Unit experience, including 2 years of continuous work experience at one location; telemetry competency.
- Preferred Qualifications: Medical Intensive Care Unit experience.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: The position supports critically ill adult patients with conditions including substance abuse or overdose, severe psychiatric conditions, diabetic ketoacidosis, sepsis, gastrointestinal bleeding, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, renal failure, and cardiogenic shock. Patient assignments may range from 1:1 or 1:2 for high-acuity patients in the Intensive Care Unit to 1:4 or 1:5 when floating to Medical/Surgical units. Assignment dates are 11/15/2026 through 02/13/2027.
