Job Summary
Vascular Access (IV VAS) RN Location: Portland area. This role involves providing specialized vascular access and intravenous therapy services across various units within a short-term acute care facility. The position requires experienced vascular/PICC nurses capable of sterile dressing changes, peripheral IV placement, ultrasound-guided IV placement, and troubleshooting of vascular access devices. The role includes floating between units based on clinical needs.
Job Details
- Certifications: BLS required
- Education/Experience: At least 1 year of travel experience, minimum 2 years of vascular/PICC nursing experience, relevant certifications, and a valid state license (compact license accepted).
- Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week.
- Responsibilities include performing sterile dressing changes, peripheral and ultrasound-guided IV placements, troubleshooting vascular access issues, and managing PICC and midline placements.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Candidate must have extensive vascular/PICC experience and be proficient in Epic charting system.
- Previous charge experience, team collaboration, and adaptability to float between units are preferred.
