Opportunity:

RN - ICU Neonatal (Level 2 NICU)

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Full-time position
• Primary assignment in Level 2 NICU with potential float to mother/baby unit as needed
• Practice independently in the clinical setting, demonstrating awareness of all relevant aspects of patient situations
• Provide routine and complex neonatal care with the ability to focus on long-range goals and plans
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed to manage clinical situations
• Utilize the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Administer medications and treatments per appropriate protocol and monitor for side effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care given
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred
• Perinatal RN Residency or recent experience in a perinatal setting preferred
• Current STABLE (Post-resuscitation/Pre-transport Stabilization Care of Sick Infants) certification required
• Current BLS certification required (AHA only)
• Current NRP certification required
• RN license in the state of TX or compact license required
