Job Summary
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) Location: not specified. This position involves providing specialized care for newborns and infants within a diverse healthcare environment. The role requires a minimum of 2 years of NICU experience, with responsibilities including patient monitoring, administering treatments, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
Job Details
- Certifications, Education, and Experience: Active Washington RN license; at least 2 years of NICU experience; current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications.
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week, working 3 days.
- Responsibilities: Delivering high-quality neonatal care, managing patient ratios of 1:2, and floating to Peds and Pediatric Intensive Care Units (PICU) when needed, primarily at designated campuses including First Hill, Edmonds, and Issaquah.
- Additional Requirements: Experience with EPIC Charting System and patient care of newborns and infants; references covering one year in the specialty within the last three years, with at least one reference from a supervisor or charge RN.
- Preferred Qualifications: EPIC charting experience and prior experience in community hospital or Level I trauma settings are advantageous.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Submission Requirements: All candidates must submit recent references, and meet facility-specific vaccination and compliance policies, including COVID-19 vaccination (medical or religious exemptions only).
- Orientation: Virtual pre-start modules are approximately 21 hours, with in-unit orientation scheduled based on availability following completion.
