Clinical Interview
Experience Required:
2 years as RN, 1 full year of ICU, 1 travel assignment, trauma level II experience.
NIHSS/dysphagia screen/strong neuro assessement skills. Tele/12-lead EKG interpretation (TRAVELERS REQUIRED TO PASS TELE TESTS), ETT/vent management (RT available), Intitate/titrate (sedatives, paralytics, cardiac drips, vasoactive, etc.), sepsis protocols/care. Must have strong assessment and critical thinking skills!
PREFERRED: CRRT, tPa administration/assessments, massive transfusion (Belmont).
Hard worker, resilient and manages change well, social candidates.
Certs Required:
BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
Float:
First to float within skillset. Deaconess Midtown (IN) campus (8 miles apart) & potential to float to Deaconess Henderson (KY – 11 miles). 2 HR notice given for cross campus float. Mid-shift float within same campus. Cross campus mid-shift float is unlikely but possible.
Unit Information
32 beds. Ratio: Days 1:3; NOCs 1:3; CN typically takes 1:1 assignment. External ventriculostomy devices on this unit
Unit Strengths: Seasoned perm staff with excellent teamwork. Manager has been with organization since 2008. Teaching hospital - may require precepting of students and new hires.
