Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Rotating Weekends | Expected 36 hours/week (facility may approve up to 48 hours/week)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Medical ICU setting, with assignments based on acuity and nursing skills
- Operate and manage all ICU equipment including ventilators, NXStage, Arctic Sun, and GE Cardiac Output monitors
- Assist with and support bedside procedures including central line placements, thoracentesis, dialysis cath placements, cardioversions, and intubations
- Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic documentation system
- Float to other units as needed per facility policy
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Texas — temporary licenses will not be accepted
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- Minimum 2+ years of MICU or MSICU experience
- No call requirements for this position
Preferred Experience / Skills
- CCRN certification preferred
- Experience with Meditech electronic documentation system
- Familiarity with advanced ICU procedures performed at the bedside
