Job Summary
Medical Surgical With Telemetry Long Beach. The position provides nursing care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients with neurological, cardiac, respiratory, orthopedic, oncology, stroke, trauma, and wound-care diagnoses. The role includes dysrhythmia management, oxygen administration, isolation precautions, peripheral line care, and collaboration with rapid response and code teams.
Job Details
- Schedule: Three 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, totaling 36 hours per week; every-other-weekend coverage and call are required.
- Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications; California nursing license in hand; travel nursing experience; at least 1 year of experience, with 2 years preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge experience; Trauma Level I or Trauma Level II experience.
- Additional Information: The position supports a patient population of adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. Clinical responsibilities include medical-surgical and telemetry care, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of rapid response and code teams, peripheral line care and management, nasal cannula and oxygen administration, oxygen tank management, non-invasive airway management, isolation precautions, and personal protective equipment procedures. The role accepts first-time travelers.
