Job Summary
Medical Surgical With Telemetry in Farmington, New Mexico. The registered nursing position provides care to adult and geriatric patients with medical and surgical conditions, including cirrhosis, sepsis, pneumonia, respiratory illnesses, wounds, and congestive heart failure. The position is scheduled for overnight 12-hour shifts within a medical unit.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA); Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN); minimum of 1 year of experience; ability to provide medical-surgical nursing care.
- Preferred Qualifications: Medical-surgical experience; charge nurse experience; oncology skills.
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: The unit supports adult and geriatric patients with typical nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5 and 1:6. Clinical responsibilities may include caring for patients with cirrhosis, sepsis, pneumonia, respiratory illnesses, wounds, and congestive heart failure. Equipment includes vital signs machines, bladder scanners, intravenous pumps, thermal imaging equipment, lifts, and tube-feeding pumps. Weekend scheduling generally includes at least two weekend shifts per month. Block scheduling may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
