Travel Nursing Job Details

• Electronic Documentation: CareView/EPIC experience preferred; on-site training available
• Dress Code: Black scrubs

Med/Surg Tele RN Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license in Kentucky or a valid Compact RN license
• At least 1 year of recent medical-surgical/telemetry RN experience
• Level I or Level II Trauma Center experience required
• Associate degree or nursing certificate
• Current AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips and recognize cardiac rhythm changes
• Successful completion of an EKG assessment during the compliance process
• Flexibility to float among medical-surgical and telemetry units throughout the inpatient setting and assist with support duties when needed
• Strong communication, dependability, teamwork, resilience, and adaptability

Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical, telemetry, surgical, and orthopedic patients during 12-hour night shifts.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and promptly recognize and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Complete nursing assessments, medication administration, care planning, patient education, and accurate clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing colleagues, and the interdisciplinary care team to support safe, effective patient outcomes.
• Float to other inpatient medical-surgical and telemetry units as staffing needs require.
• Participate in weekend and holiday rotations according to unit scheduling requirements.
• Support a positive, team-oriented care environment while managing changing priorities in a trauma-center setting.
