Job Summary
Medical Surgical Floor (MS) Night shifts Available in an acute care facility specializing in infectious disease and isolation precautions. This role involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients with infectious diseases, including COVID, MRSA, and C-Diff, with a focus on adhering to strict isolation protocols.
Job Details
- Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: BLS (American Heart Association); minimum 2 years of relevant clinical experience; valid nursing license; location-specific licensing as required.
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Responsibilities include managing patients with infectious diseases, following isolation and safety precautions, titrating IV medications such as Heparin and antibiotics, and performing comprehensive patient assessments.
- The unit staffing includes 2 CNAs per shift, monitor tech support from remote tele monitor stations, and a scheduled 1-day EPIC orientation with subsequent on-floor training under a preceptor.
- Floating: Floating to other Medical Surgical units may be required, including assignments to Telemetry units, if needed.
- Additional notes include holiday work based on staffing requirements and flexible scheduling to meet unit needs.
- Candidates must submit a copy of their valid driver's license along with their application.
