Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN), Medical-Surgical Floor. This position provides care for patients with a broad range of acute and chronic medical conditions, including infectious processes, renal disease, diabetes, cardiac conditions, respiratory illness, complex wounds, and substance misuse. The role requires rotating-shift coverage and management of complex lines, tubes, drains, drips, telemetry, and other medical-surgical patient care needs.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Experience with chest tubes; tubes; drips including diltiazem, heparin, furosemide, insulin, or amiodarone; lines, tubes, and drains for postsurgical patients; tracheostomies and laryngectomies; telemetry; complex wounds; central line care and maintenance; and blood draws.
- Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Provides care for patients with acute or chronic illness, including sepsis, infectious processes, acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease requiring hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis, diabetes, gastrointestinal conditions, fluid and electrolyte imbalances, alcohol withdrawal, liver disease, substance misuse, endocarditis, heart disease, skin and wound conditions, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, influenza, pneumonia, and cystic fibrosis. On-call coverage is required.
