Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical Floor position supporting patients in an acute care setting. The role provides care for patients with respiratory conditions, infections, wounds, diabetes, gastrointestinal conditions, substance withdrawal, and suicidal ideation. The position includes overnight shifts, medication drip titration, and collaboration with respiratory therapy and monitoring staff.
Job Details
- Schedule: Nights; 12-hour shifts; 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse license; Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification; at least 1 year of acute care experience.
- Additional Information:
- Patient ratios are typically 1:45 during the day and 1:56 at night.
- The role may require titration of insulin and heparin drips.
- Respiratory therapy support is available, including high-flow oxygen, bilevel positive airway pressure, and continuous positive airway pressure equipment.
- Self-scheduling and block scheduling are available.
- Four weekend shifts are required per four-week schedule; night-shift weekend coverage includes Friday or Saturday.
- Holiday coverage is required every other holiday.
- Up to three full orientation shifts may be provided as needed.
- Navy blue scrubs are required for registered nurses.
