Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Oncology Floor registered nurse position in Tallahassee, Florida. This role involves providing specialized inpatient care to oncology patients, including administering chemotherapy and closely monitoring patient progress. Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license; minimum 1 year of nursing experience; BLS certification; location requirements as needed.
- Preferred Qualifications: Specialty certification in Med Surg, Palliative Care, or Oncology Nursing Society (ONS).
- Float: Float rotation may be required as per hospital policy.
- Additional Information: The unit features electronic whiteboards and remote telemetry systems. Nursing staff utilize specific procedures such as inpatient chemotherapy administration. The team emphasizes hourly patient rounds during the day and 2-hour rounds after 9 pm to ensure high-quality patient care. Staff are supported with advanced technology, and the unit has received recognition for excellence in medical-surgical nursing.
