Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Intensive Care Unit Medical, providing care to adult patients in a 20-bed Medical/Surgical Intensive Care Unit. The role supports high-acuity patients with conditions including sepsis, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, renal failure, cardiogenic shock, diabetic ketoacidosis, gastrointestinal bleeding, and overdose. Floating to Medical/Surgical units may be required.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse license, including conditional licenses expiring on or after 12/15/2026; Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA); at least 2 years of continuous adult Intensive Care Unit experience, preferably in a Medical Intensive Care Unit; ability to read telemetry strips.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: Provides care for adult patients with varied medical and surgical diagnoses. Patient assignments may range from 1:1 or 1:2 for high-acuity patients in the Intensive Care Unit to 1:4 or 1:5 when floating to Medical/Surgical units. Attending physicians and residents are present in the Intensive Care Unit 24 hours per day. Assignment dates are 11/15/2026 through 02/13/2027.
