Job Details:

• 13-week assignment working 3x12 night shifts
• Guaranteed 60 hours per 2-week period with the possibility of being called off for 1 twelve-hour shift per 2 weeks
• Weekend coverage may be more frequent than every other weekend and is subject to staffing needs, with at least two weekends per month required
• No on-call required
• May float to like units within scope to meet facility needs
• Block scheduling not available
• Care for orthopedic, neurological, telemetry, morbidly obese, bariatric surgery, and general medical patients
• Patient population includes adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Unit census of 36 patients with 36 rooms and 36 beds
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, lift teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation
• Charting system: Epic
• Scrubs provided by facility
• Parking is free
• Required certification: BLS
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Community hospital and Level II Trauma experience preferred
• Required skills include telemetry, IV management, wound care, blood product administration, heparin, insulin protocols, PICC line management, central line blood draw, and more
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of submittal
• Local candidates not accepted; permanent address must be at least 50 miles from facility
• Alaska RN license required; pending license accepted but must be in hand prior to offer
