Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit. In this role, you will care for adult patients with a variety of diagnoses, including sepsis, urinary tract infections, acute kidney injury, pneumonia, cholecystitis, and congestive heart failure. The unit has a daily census of 29 patients and a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report changes in patient condition.
- Manage cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration.
- Provide care and management for various medical devices and procedures, including feeding tubes and central lines.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to patient care planning.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of registered nursing experience, with a background in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry preferred.
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
Certifications/Licensure
- Active RN license in Maryland or compact state license.
- BLS certification required.
- NIHSS certification required.
- ACLS certification preferred.
