Travel Nursing Job Details

Travel Registered Nurse Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or an active compact-state license in hand at the time of submission
• At least 1 year of recent permanent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Current ACLS certification
• Willingness to obtain NIHSS certification before the assignment begins
• Active certifications must be in hand at the time of submission; pending certifications are not accepted
• One recent professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, director, or charge nurse in the applicable specialty, preferably from the past 12 months
• Successful completion of required credentialing, background screening, and facility compliance processes
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm-recognition and medication-safety assessments during orientation

Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to patients in a medical-surgical telemetry setting
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, identify changes in patient condition, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to telemetry-related changes within established protocols
• Administer medications and treatments accurately while maintaining patient safety standards
• Care for patients with orthopedic, medical, and surgical needs throughout their hospitalization
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to develop and evaluate individualized care plans
• Provide patient and family education, discharge preparation, and continuity-of-care support
• Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation and provide effective shift-to-shift handoff communication
