Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac/Telemetry
Position Overview
This role is for a Registered Nurse primarily working on the Cardiac unit with occasional floating between various Medical-Surgical units, including Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Respiratory, and Observation. The position requires commitment to a night shift schedule with weekend rotation.
Shift Information
- Shift: Nights 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care primarily on the 4 South Cardiac unit, with flexibility to float to other departments as needed.
- Monitor and interpret telemetry readings; competency will be assessed at the start of employment.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort while implementing nursing care plans.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in Cardiac/Telemetry or Stepdown nursing required.
- Proficient in reading telemetry; competency will be tested on the first day of work.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory.
- Active proficiency in Epic EMR is required; previous experience must be documented.
Additional Information
Starting date for new hires is set for November 16th unless returning travelers have been employed within the last 9 months. There is no on-call requirement for this position.
