1. Shift & Schedule
- Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Med-Surg/Telemetry
- Facility: Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center
- Unit: 2 South
- Shift: Day shift
- Schedule: 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (E/O weekend)
- Experience Required: Minimum 2 years in the specialty
2. Unit Details
- Unit Capacity: 21 beds
- Patient Population: Adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients
- Common Diagnoses:
- Heart failure (CHF)
- Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
- Other medical-surgical conditions requiring cardiac monitoring
3. License & Certifications
- Active RN license required.
- BLS: Required.
- ACLS: Required.
4. Clinical Skills & Responsibilities
The nurse should be experienced in:
- Medical-surgical nursing care
- Telemetry and cardiac monitoring
- Monitoring vital signs and recognizing changes in patient condition
- Caring for patients with heart failure and COPD
- Medication administration
- Assessing and documenting patient progress
- Responding to clinical deterioration and emergencies
- Coordinating care with physicians and other healthcare professionals
5. Travel & Location Requirements
- Local Candidates: Not accepted.
- Distance Requirement: Candidate must live at least 50 miles from the facility.
- Proof of Residence: A verifiable permanent address is required.
- Candidates must meet the facility's travel eligibility requirements.
