Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Med Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) in Greenville, SC! We are seeking dedicated and experienced RNs to provide exceptional care in a fast-paced environment. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with a diverse patient population while enhancing your nursing skills.
As a Med Surg/Telemetry RN, you will be responsible for caring for surgical and telemetry patients in a 30-bed non-cardiac monitor unit. Your expertise will be essential in managing patients with vascular and urology conditions, as well as providing support for general surgery and women's specialty cases. The average length of stay for our patients is one to two days, and you will work with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5, supported by three staff members on each shift.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage 5-6 med-surgical patients, providing comprehensive care.
- Perform dressing changes and care for patients with wound vacs and drains.
- Utilize Epic for patient documentation and care coordination.
- Float to other units as needed, ensuring you are qualified for the tasks assigned.
Requirements:
- Active South Carolina RN license.
- ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
- NIHSS certification is preferred.
- At least one year of Epic experience is necessary.
- Experience in Urology and Vascular nursing is required.
- Ability to pass an EKG exam as part of prestart modules.
This contract position requires floating to other units based on census needs, but you will only float to areas where you have demonstrated competencies. Weekend coverage may be required every other week, depending on the facility's needs.
