Travel Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) – MedSurg/Telemetry Float Pool in Bridgeport, WV

Join an experienced acute-care nursing team as a Telemetry RN for a 13-week travel nursing assignment in Bridgeport, West Virginia. Provide compassionate care to diverse adult patients while floating across MedSurg and Telemetry inpatient units in a Level II trauma environment.

Travel RN Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,090–$2,200
• Schedule: Four 12-hour day shifts per week; 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
• Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours per week
• Start Date: November 2, 2026
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks, ending February 1, 2027
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend, including Saturday and Sunday; holidays are included in the regular rotation
• Orientation: 1–2 shifts with a preceptor
• Charting: EPIC
• Dress Code: Royal blue scrubs

Telemetry RN Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in West Virginia
• At least 1 year of recent acute-care, MedSurg, or Telemetry RN experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Ability to successfully complete a cardiac rhythm examination
• Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring skills
• Ability to float across inpatient units and care for patients within scope of practice
• Applicants must meet the applicable 50-mile radius requirement

Telemetry Nursing Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in MedSurg and Telemetry settings
• Float among inpatient units based on staffing needs, with the most frequent assignments supporting 6N and 7N and occasional assignments to 4N, 5S, 6S, and Critical Care
• Care for patients with CHF, cardiac catheterization needs, pneumonia, COPD, chronic renal disease, orthopedic conditions, oncology diagnoses, and other acute-care concerns
• Monitor patients using Philips telemetry systems and accurately interpret cardiac rhythms
• Manage typical nurse-to-patient ratios of approximately 1:5–6, based on patient acuity and unit needs
• Collaborate with charge nurses, certified nursing assistants, respiratory therapy, providers, and interdisciplinary team members
• Care for patients receiving CPAP or BiPAP support in collaboration with respiratory therapy
• Complete timely clinical documentation and communication in EPIC
• Deliver safe, compassionate, and adaptable nursing care while maintaining high standards across multiple inpatient units
