o Day Shift – (1 charge, 4 nurses (RNs or LPNs), 2 PCTs, 1 unit clerk)
o Night Shift - (1 charge, 4 nurses (RNs or LPNs), 2 PCTs)
Patient Ratios – 6:1
Type of equipment – BLS, NIHSS
EMR – Meditech
Typical hiring profile
Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters)
Must have: BLS
candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
Prior inpatient acute care experience
Basic dysrhythmias
Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.
Worked at trauma center
List typical procedures performed on unit(s):
PIVs insertion/management/removal
central line management/removal
foley insertion/management/removal
NGs insertion/management/removal
drain management/removal
wound care and ostomy management
Continuous bladder irrigation
Chest tube management
EKG
List any machines and/or equipment used on the unit:
Alaris IV pumps
Hoyer, Sarah Steady
Feeding pumps
Welch Allyn Vital Sign Machines

Vein Finder
